That crazy Oklahoma weather....
.....
Just a couple of days before the blizzard of 2011 hit the state, we had a few days of absolutely beautiful weather for the month of January. A couple of weeks ago, I got off work at noon on Friday and we headed to the zoo to meet my friend Kendall and her two precious kiddos, Carson and Lyla. Kendall and her husband, Josh, recently moved back to Shawnee from Texas and it's been really fun getting to know their family. Kendall went to high school in Seminole as well and is a few years older than me, and because our lives are so similar, we're sort of "reconnected" on facebook! Her little boy is a couple of months older than Reid and her baby girl is just 10 days younger than LilliAnn. Hanging out with these guys is a blast for all of us! Especially since Kendall and I share a lot of the same interests. I didn't take near enough pictures on our zoo trip, as it was a little tough trying to take pics and keep up with the kiddos, but here's a few that I did manage to snap along the way!
.....
He LOVED his "kangaroo juice" that "Nana got tor me!"
.....
We just had to go on a train ride because that was all Reid talked about, of course!
.....
Sissy got into Reid's bag of chips and had her first taste of Cheetos while on the train ride.
.....
I think she liked them :)
.....
Yay for Cheetos! Much better than those organic puffs mom tries to make me eat!
.....
Hey, this "kangaroo juice" is pretty good too!
.....
Carson & Reid has such a good time together!

The Girls
.....
.....
See this adorable lace headband with flower bows clipped to it? Well, we didn't make it home with that super cute accessory! You see, nine month olds really like to take things off of their heads...
.....
Waving to the seals...or sea lions? Whatever they were! They kept doing seal barks...it was too cute!
.....
Chasing a peacock...poor peacock!
.....
.....
Before we left Reid wanted to ride the jeep.
.....
"What's up, Mr. Monkey?"
.....
.....
The next day was gorgeous as well, so we decided to head to the lake and spend the day outside! Josh and Lacee brought Jett and Josslynn over and we had a nice, relaxing little family day. The boys shot the bb gun with Papa Glenn, played on the swing set, rode the Gator, and ran around like crazy!.....
Sweet baby Joss - look how big she's getting!
.....
Chillaxin' on the patio
.....
.....
Sissy practiced her walking skills...
.....
Jett always smiles big for me!
.....
They always eat better when they share a plate!
.....
Takin' a break from walkin'
.....
Too busy to smile for mommy's camera!
.....
"Wook at me, guys!"
.....
My beautiful baldy!
.....
Kisses for Joss...LilliAnn LOVES baby dolls and she always opens her mouth and gives them kisses. As soon as she saw Josslynn she immediately leaned in for some kisses! She thought Joss was one of her baby dolls.
.....
Kissing Cousins
.....
Unfortunately for Joss, it wasn't all smooches. A little while after these pictures were taken LilliAnn leaned in and bit Josslynn's nose! It even bled a little bit! I felt terrible about the whole thing!
.....
Snotty nose, but look how sweet she is :)
.....
We were so glad that we got to enjoy some sunshine because just three days later a record snow storm hit Oklahoma and shut down almost the entire state. Read on to the next post to see pictures of the fun we had in the blizzard of 2011!
