a "thunder"-ful evening.

This past week was the annual OKC Thunder VIP event. This year it was held at the Farmer's Market venue and could not have been more fun! We walked in to find a gold cowboy "statue" and a gold Rumble, as well as lots of different circus acts at different stations such as a cirque du soleil performance. Reid was SO excited and could not wait to see the players!

The gold statue cowboy put Reid up on the pedestal and told him to take over for a while. Reid wasn't too sure what to think!

We decided to bring sis along with us this year. This was her first meet and greet, and of course, she was her typical shy self. You would not know this guy was shy if you saw her at home and around people she is comfortable with, but in public and around unfamiliar people, she will NOT talk. She was so timid when I tried introducing her to these Thunder girls, but finally she decided she wanted a picture.

Mitch McGary was our favorite player at the event! He was so much fun!! And he even took my phone and did a video selfie with Reid!

This is one of my favorite pictures of the night. We've been doing this event for a couple of years now, but have never taken a picture with the Thunder head coach, Scott Brooks. I think this is such a great pic of him and Reid!

 Reid has a #35 jersey signed by Kevin Durant from a previous year, and this year he got his Russell Westbrook jersey signed too! It's pretty sweet to have a jersey signed from last year's MVP and possibly this year's MVP too!

When my brother and his friends take pictures with no smiles, they use the hashtag #sadboysclub. LilliAnn was not loving having her picture made with these big basketball players, so when I posted it on social media I tagged it #sadgirlclub. Lol!

We love our OKC Thunder! It is such a blessing that we are able to take the kids to this amazing event every year. I just love watching Reid's eyes light up when a player talks to him or gives him a five…it's a little boy's dream come true! Lil, on the other hand, was more into the entertainment of the night rather than seeing the players. Maybe when she gets a little older, she'll be interested in meeting the players. Until then, she'll just have to stay in the Sad Girl Club. Lol!
