something special.

So LilliAnn has been trying to decide (for several weeks now) something special that she wants her daddy to get her for her birthday. Tonight, as we're driving home she says, "Daddy, I finally know the special thing that I want." Jeb says, "Ok, sis. What is it?" And she leans forward, puts her hand on his shoulder and says, "Your heart."

Letter to my Birthday Baby Boy: Two Years Old

…..
My precious baby Rush,
Goodness. I don't even know where to begin. I already could just burst into tears just thinking about you already being two years old. You are seriously a dream! Literally, I dreamed of you before I ever got pregnant with you. I knew what you would look like…what you would act like…but I never imagined just how much I would love you. I cannot put into words or even fathom the amount of love I have for you…my baby…my third child…my joy…my sweet, charming, adorable little boy. Maybe it's because I was a little bit older when I had you…or maybe it was because Reid and LilliAnn were two years apart and I felt like life was pretty crazy as an inexperienced parent with two littles…but whatever the reason, I have completely enjoyed EVERY SINGLE SECOND of your baby-ness. You're my little sidekick and I love spending my days with you while the big kids are in school. Sometimes I look back at you in your carseat and I feel like I am riding around all day with your daddy…as a baby…in some weird Benjamin Button way. Every time you talk in your precious little toddler voice, I can't help with smile. My heart completely turns to mush when you say, "Love lou, mommy," or "What ooo doin' mommy?"
…..
Those curls. I can't even take it. They are so sweet…and I don't think I'm going to ever be able to bring myself to cut them!
…..
You have THE BEST and CUTEST personality. You are extremely social and not scared of strangers at all. Everywhere we go, you go up and talk to people and flash your precious smile. You are a little charmer, and people can't help with fall completely in love with you. You're quite the talker. You've been talking for while now, but in the past three months you've started saying everything! People cannot believe how much you know and how talkative you are for your age!
You're absolutely crazy about your big brother and sister. You can't wait to "pick the big kids up" from school every day, and if we drop them off somewhere you'll ask, "Where'd bubba go?" or "Where's Lolli at?"
