Happy Halloween!

.....
It is the year of super heroes, right?! And what else would our family themed costumes be when we have a four year-old little boy?

the first of fall...

Fall has finally blown in...today is October 25th and it was a cold, windy day here in Oklahoma! The weather has been extremely warm over the past couple of months for this time of year.
.....
We welcomed fall this year with a few trips to the fair! The first part of September we stopped by the Pott. County Free Fair to let the kids ride a few of the rides.
.....
It was game day, so of course we were dressed in our OU gear (we were cheering for OU this particular week)!
.....
This little Sooner fan was all smiles!
.....
Sissy loved the big slide! She wanted to do it over and over again!
.....
LilliAnn tried to ride this train too, but it went way too fast and she ended up screaming and crying. We had to have the carnival guy stop the ride so we could get her out. I hope she's not scarred for life! :)
.....
The next weekend we headed to the Great State Fair of Oklahoma! I learned from last year to do Disney on Ice first and on a separate day than the fair. Last year we did the fair all day and then went to Disney on Ice that evening. Big mistake. Both kids were cranky and LilliAnn slept through the entire show. This year, we came to the Thursday night performance of "Dare to Dream" and it was AMAZING! We had front row, rink-side seats and the experience could not have been better! LilliAnn waved at every single princess and when one would wave back, her eyes would light up and she would squeal with delight! Jeb and I would look at each other, smile, then give each other an "air" fist pump.
.....
The main theme of the show was based around the movie "Tangled" about Rapunzel. LilliAnn had a Tangled princess costume that she got for Christmas last year and she couldn't wait to wear it!
.....
After a corn dog and a $12 snocone in a Cinderella souvenir cup, she was twirling around everywhere!
.....
$100 later we were prepared with our plastic sword, Rapunzel "long hair," and our Little Mermaid doll.
.....
But it was sooooo worth it! Look at these little cuties!! What's it hurt to buy lots of expensive, "cheap" toys at Disney on Ice once a year :)
.....
They loved this Cinderella carriage made out of legos!
.....
My princess <3 p="p">
.....
And we just had to get the pink cotton candy with the princess crown!
.....
.....
One of the best. nights. EVER.
.....
.....
On the way out we bought some flags. Out of all the toys we bought that night, this had been their favorite things. They keep them in their rooms and have carried them around the house almost every day since.
.....
.....
On Sunday we went to the fair with my dad's entire family. After a few corndogs, chicken-on-a-stick, fried cheese-on-a-stick, an Indian taco, a couple of strawberry crepes, fresh squeezed lemonade, and some cotton candy, we hit the rides!
.....
.....
.....
Best part about the fair? The food, of course!
.....
.....
The fair was extremely busy that day. The weather was beautiful and it was opening weekend for the fair. It got to the point where it was not enjoyable at all because you could hardly get around. Jeb met us up there after his flag football game and had to wait in line to buy a ticket for 45 minutes! Needless to say, he was not very happy!
.....
.....
Reid was all about playing the games this year...especially throwing darts.
.....
.....
LilliAnn fell asleep on our way out, so before we left, Reid and I had some one-on-one time while daddy watched sissy sleep in the stroller. We had the absolute BEST time! Reid looked at me at one point and said, "Mom, we're having so much fun together, aren't we?" Melt. my. heart.
Our first ride was this "scary" haunted house, but Reid said that it wasn't very scary at all. He said he thinks the scary people come out at night.
.....
Next was slide races...guess who won?!
.....
I had to snap a couple of pics of my boys on the way to the car. They were just looking too cute!

.....
.....
Kisses for daddy!
.....
.....
Next up...THE BIG TOP! The first part of October the circus came to town! I was busy with the JSL pumpkin project, but I took off one evening to enjoy the biggest show on earth with my favorite people.
.....
.....
.....
This elephant rider was Jeb's favorite part! :)
.....
My little Matilda Jane cutie!
.....
.....
I just love this picture of her!
.....
All she wanted to do was ride a horsey. She pointed to this one and said, "I want to ride THAT ONE!"
.....
.....
sweet baby face.
.....
She kept petting him and saying, "He wuvs me so much."
.....
.....
Reid was cracking up at the goats. They kept trying to eat his boots!
.....
.....
.....
My handsome little guy!
.....
Moving on to the next week...
It was time for the annual Windmill Ridge fall festival that our neighborhood puts on every year. Our entire neighborhood meets near the pond for hotdogs, smores, live music, bounce houses, face painting, and lots of socialization. The kids always have a blast!
.....
.....
Reid wanted his face painted like a lion.
.....
He's really serious about his face painting.
.....
"ROOOOAAARR"
.....
How adorable is this?!
.....
.....
.....
My little bare-footed, free spirit danced around in the grass like a little fairy princess.
.....
.....
The past few months have been so, so busy, but oh so fun! Stay tuned to hear about the rest of our fall, including posts about Reid's soccer games and Halloween!
