SHS: 10 Year Reunion

I realized today that I never finished this post about my high school 10 year reunion that was this past September. I was Senior Class President, therefore I was in charge of putting this whole reunion together! We formed a Seminole High School: Class of 2002 Facebook page over a year ago, and had been counting down the days until our big night. Our class was very close in high school and a lot of us still hang out frequently and keep in touch. We have several "leaders" in our class with "take charge" personalities, so we always did things up right. We won best float in the homecoming parade 3 out of 4 years, and we were the class that always had new ideas and would initiate changes in the school. We were the first class to ever have prom outside, and we were also the first class to have graduation on the SHS football field! Even though we only graduated with 98 students, I knew that our reunion had to be over-the-top for a Seminole 10 year class reunion. My best friend (since 4th grade and still to this day) Kari Bryan was class secretary and she helped with the planning and organizing. If it wan't for her I don't know how I would have pulled it off! We had an entire weekend planned.
.....

These pictures are from the photo booth we set up at the reunion. Kari and Zack gathered up band uniforms, cheerleading uniforms, football jerseys, and lots of other fun props. The photo booth ended up being a HUGE HIT!

I wasn't homecoming queen...I was sophomore attendant, junior attendant, and senior attendant, but I actually ended up giving my senior attendant spot to Kari because I wanted her to be in the homecoming court. I always tease Jeb and tell him that if he really loved me, he would have made all of the football players vote for me for queen :) When we took this picture he told me that I have always been his homecoming queen!
.....
Logan 'Dearing' Curtis - another one of my best friends since 4th grade
.....
THE FOXY FOUR! The four of us have been best friends since middle school! We talk several times a week and I don't know what I would do without these girls. They have seriously been with me through thick and thin!!!
.....
.....
I think this might be my favorite picture from the entire reunion!
.....
.....
We had an amazing D.J. and I made a slideshow of old high school pictures that played throughout the evening. I also made a second slide show that had "then & now" pictures, as well as current information and interesting facts about each classmate.
.....
We had about 35 classmates at our reunion...a little over a third of our graduating class.
.....
.....
Not much has changed...Jeb and Chase - showing off their dance moves!
.....
Cory is a scuba instructor, so he won the award for most interesting profession!
.....
I won the award for "Classmate for Likely to Update Their Facebook Status."
.....
And Jeb and I won the award for "Couple Since High School - High School Sweethearts."
.....
We're the only two people from our class that married a classmate.
.....
.....
These pictures are a bit out of order, but this is from the high school tour on Friday. We put on our "Once a Chieftain, Always a Chieftain" shirts that Kari and I designed and headed in to SHS!
.....
LilliAnn really liked looking at the old senior pictures of her mom and dad on the composite boards.
.....
This is Reid with my friend Julie's little boy, Cash - sitting in the same auditorium chairs that their parents sat in!
.....
Our 10 year reunion was extra special because that same weekend Seminole was celebrating 100 years of Chieftain football!
.....
the green lockers are still there...

.....
Logan's mom, Linda, teaches English at the high school and she decorated her door to welcome us!

Next, we went in the gym for the pep assembly. My cousin Trey was on the homecoming court, so it was an extra special day for our family! Reid even got some lovin' from baby Pierce!

This was Reid's "MEAN GREEN" face!
.....
My Aunt Johnna ordered the kids "You Can't Stop Trey" shirts and they were so excited to wear them to the game!
.....
All of the past SHS football players for the past 100 years came out onto the field before the game. Jeb was even recognized for being an All-Stater!!! When I was in high school we went to the state playoffs three years in a row and got runner-up every time! :(
.....
Reid thought it was pretty cool getting to walk out onto the field with his daddy.

.....
What's crazy is that the homecoming theme this year was "Once a Chieftain, Always a Chieftain" and we didn't even know that when we made up our logo and shirt design!!! Our class always knows what is "in."

Someone needed to take the microphone away from me! I was cracking myself up all night long!!
.....
As you can tell from the picture above, it was a GREAT weekend! The Reynolds Wellness Center made us leave a little early on Saturday night due to a lack of communication...it was crazy drama, but that didn't stop us from having a good time. We packed up and moved the party to Kari's house and had an absolute BLAST! I loved hanging out with all of my friends from high school and seeing faces that I haven't seen in years. We all had so much fun that we're thinking of having a small get together every year at homecoming time. My 10 year reunion made me remember just how much fun high school really was...I will cherish those memories forever.

North Pole Breakfast. 2012

.....
On December 1, our Elf on the Shelf, Chippy, showed up one evening for a little "North Pole Breakfast." I cooked the biscuits, gravy, pancakes, bacon, and eggs, and Chippy brought a few surprises for Reid and LilliAnn. I wanted to use the Elf on the Shelf this year to try and teach my kids about God's grace, although I know they are still a little young to understand this concept. This is what their letter from Chippy said:
 .....
.....
Merry-Okee Elf microphones!
.....
This year's ornaments - Batman for Reid and Cinderella for LilliAnn!
.....
.....
Chippy even brought the kids new hot chocolate mugs!
.....
.....
The kids were so surprised when they walked into the kitchen and saw this! Reid said, "Chippy is back! I knew he would be here!"
 .....
LilliAnn was mostly into her Cinderella ornament.
.....
And the new Elf on the Shelf ornament...
.....
It had been a while since I had made biscuits and gravy. When Reid sat down he said, "I LOVE this stuff!" Haha!
.....
.....
her cheesy smile...
