Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice saying, "This is the way. Walk in it."

baby rush.
LilliAnn is so proud because she can scoop the baby into her arms and hold him all my herself. Reid said, "Whoa! How can you do that?" She responds, "Reid, it's just because I'm a magic mom babysitter!" Then she looks at Rush and says, "Here I am. It's ok, dude."

Lil's words.
LilliAnn walked into the living room with two baby doll bottles held up to her chest and said, "I made my own breast pump."

week 38. (baby #3)
…..
38 week appointment.
March 13, 2014 - Dr. K. Anthony Shanbour (Mercy Hospital, OKC)
- total weight gained: 38 pounds
- fetal heart rate: 152 bpm
- blood pressure: 120/60
…..
Dr. Shanbour checked me for the first time at this visit and I was dilated to almost a 3 and 80% effaced. I really thought that checking me might make me go into labor, as this is what happened with LilliAnn, but it's three days later and still no baby. I had a significant amount of microscopic blood in my urine, and Dr. Shanbour said this is from the effacement and cervical changes of the beginning stages of labor. I've had lots of contractions off and on since this appointment, but none that have progressed. Last night my pain was severe, and at one point I was having contractions every three minutes. I woke Jeb up and told him to get dressed, but after a hot bath they settled down and got further apart instead of closer together. The past week I have had SO. MUCH. PRESSURE. I've never carried a baby in the correct head down position, so I've never experienced this type of pelvic pressure. I get up every 30 min to 1 hour at night to use the restroom! When Dr. Shanbour checked me he said, "Whoa! That head is low!" My nails and toes are done, groceries are bought, my eyebrows are waxed, my car is cleaned, the co-sleeper is up, and the car seat is in…although I still have a little more work to do on the nursery, I finally feel like this baby can make its' entrance!

Lil's words.
"How do babies get in your tummy?"
"God puts them there."
"But how does God hold them and put them inside of there?"

week 36. (baby #3)
…..
March 4, 2014 - Dr. K. Anthony Shanbour (Mercy Hospital, OKC)
- total weight gained: 38 pounds
- fetal heart rate: 142 bpm
- blood pressure: 120/82 (It's creeping up! BP has was 100/60 for four appointments in a row, was 110/70 last visit, and is now in the 120s.)
…..
I've actually felt better this past week. I am breathing and sleeping a little better, which probably means the baby has dropped some. The contraction-like pains have actually eased up a bit, and I have only been feeling some pelvic pressure and those occasional sharp vaginal pains. Dr. Shanbour didn't check me this visit, as the baby is head down and I'll be having a c-section. I can't believe that I have had two breech babies, and this one is still head down! I'm guessing that my uterus is stretched out some and this baby has had more room to get into a cozy position! My hands and feet have started swelling some, and I've been battling a horrible sinus infection! I went to the chiropractor twice and this seems to have really helped my symptoms. The baby is still very active and likes to stay on my right side. For the past week, I've had a little foot that periodically pokes out on my right side just above the level of my belly button. I'm getting up about once every hour to use the bathroom at night, and Jeb says that my snoring has gotten out of control! He's been sleeping in Reid's bed for the past week.
I only purchased one pair of maternity jeans and two or three maternity tops this pregnancy. I gave away most of my previous maternity clothes, and the one little box that I saved has been mysteriously MIA. It has worked out just squeezing into my regular clothes…until now. I have finally reached the point where absolutely NOTHING fits, and I look ridiculous trying to squeeze into things. I've been sleeping in Jeb's t-shirts, and wearing my favorite black yoga/work-out pants almost every day. Even my maternity jeans are getting tight and uncomfortable (however, they are a petite small!). Hopefully I can make do for just TWO MORE WEEKS!
hair!
After three years of fretting and worrying myself sick about LilliAnn NEVER getting any hair, tonight I sat and stared at her beautiful locks. We still have a ways to go before the front catches up, but her hair is finally starting to grow! It's still very fine and thin, but the natural waves are gorgeous...and that beautiful color! I'm thinking my Lil will be rocking some amazing lake hair this summer...

thunder VIP party. 2014
Last week was the annual Thunder VIP party! This was our third time to go, and like always, we had a blast…especially Reid!
…..
…..
Reid knew exactly what he was doing and just led the way. He got his autograph sheet and walked around finding all of the players that he wanted to meet and talk to. I followed behind him with the camera and tried to get the best shots that I could! I loved seeing his confidence when he would ask them for a picture or autograph, and loved hearing him always say thank you to each of them. I'm so proud of the boy that he is growing up to be!
…..
Jeremy Lamb and Andre Roberson
…..
Reid wanted to buy a new pair of K.D. basketball shoes so that K.D. could sign them that night. Here is a picture of Kevin signing his shoes. This is the second pair that Reid has gotten signed and he loves showing them off!
…..
Reid and Kevin Durant - #35
…..
We caught Russell Westbrook when he wasn't bombarded with a ton of people, so we actually got to spend a little more time with him. He was super nice to Reid, and I even got to tell him how much I liked following his girlfriend Nina on Instagram. Lol!
…..
…..
…..
Derek Fisher and Thabo Sefalosha
…..
Serge Ibaka and Perry Jones
…..
Reggie Jackson and Nick Collison
…..
Reid was a little nervous about his pic with the Thunder girls! But he LOVED seeing Rumble!!
…..
Hasheem Thabeet and Steven Adams
…..
Towards the end of the evening, Reid asked Andre Roberson if he would do a flip book with him. They did a little 30 second sword fight and then made it into a flip book. Reid did this last year with Perry Jones and loved it!
….
It was such a fun night, and we're so thankful that my dad shares his Thunder season tickets with us. One of our very favorite things is going to the games and cheering on our Thunder! Reid has become quite the basketball fan (not just Thunder, but NBA in general)! We're looking forward to many more Thunder memories!

a date with daddy.
A couple of weeks ago, the YMCA held their annual father/daughter dance. Several of the little girls we know were going, and Jeb thought it would be fun to take LilliAnn on her first date. When he told her about the dance, she was absolutely THRILLED! She called it a "ball" like Cinderella's and immediately started calling Jeb her "prince." She talked about it for weeks and already had her heart set on wearing the red dress in her closet that she never got to wear for Christmas. LilliAnn is absolutely crazy about her daddy, and I knew that this little date would be the highlight of her year!
…..
On the day of the dance, the kids were out of school for parent/teacher conferences so my friends Taryn, Stephanie, and I decided to plan a fun day for the girls. We started the day with manicures and pedicures at Nail Spa. LilliAnn picked out the perfect sparkly red polish to match her dress. I begged her to wear a sequin pink dress with a big, bright pink bow on back, but she insisted on the red one. After nails and toes, we headed to Chili's (the girls' choice) for lunch and then made a stop at the mall for some shopping. We went into Claire's where LilliAnn picked out a tiara, matching jewelry, and new make-up of course! She had mentioned wanted to wear high heels, so we made a stop into the shoe store and found the most adorable little black mary janes with heels! Our next stop was the salon. LilliAnn wanted her hair in "really big curls." I wasn't sure how that was going to work, since her hair is still so short and thin, but Amanda worked her magic!
…..
…..
The back has gotten really long, but the front and sides still have a ways to catch up! But look at that gorgeous blonde hair!
…..
She loved it! Her hair turned out absolutely PERFECT!
…..
Daddy surprised her with a little wristlet corsage, and she was over the moon!
…..
…..
…..
Seeing this image made me a little teary eyed…I imagined this same moment…20 years down the road on her wedding day…and I got pretty emotional. She'll still look at him like that. She'll still be his baby girl. And he'll always be her first "prince."
…..
Kisses for the prince. MUAH!
…..
I cannot get over how absolutely precious she looked that evening! And I'm SO glad she insisted on the red!!

pretty maids all in a row - all of these girls are Reid's age and LilliAnn is the youngest

…..
The dads surprised the girls with a party bus! They listened to Frozen songs on the way to dinner at Paul's Place! These daddies really knew how to do it up right for their baby girls! I hope their prom dates can compete!
…..
The dads said that the girls had a blast dancing and singing in the party bus! LilliAnn said that at the dance, her daddy "fast danced and slow danced" with her, and that it was a "GREAT night!"
…..
I'm so glad that LilliAnn got to have this experience and memory with her daddy. I'm looking forward to many more years of daddy/daughter dances with LilliAnn and her "prince."
