rush. 2 months.

…..
You're a big boy! Here are your 2 month stats:
Weight: 12 pounds, 9 ounces (almost 80%)
Height: 24.5 inches (90%)
You are a GREAT eater and are much bigger than your brother and sister were at this age! At your 2 month check-up, Tricia said that you are perfectly healthy and that you are going to be a big boy.

Rushton! 2 months old…the past two months have been such a blessing. You have completed our little family and we all love you so much. Things haven't seemed to slow down since you were born. The big kids are out of school for the summer and we have spent most of our time the past month at t-ball games and practices. Your expensive Orbit stroller is covered in dirt from the baseball fields. Daddy carries Reid's baseball bag while he's pushing you in the stroller…he looks like quite the super dad! There are plenty of people to hold you at the games and you're still sleeping most of the time. However, in the past week you've really started to engage and make eye contact with people…and your little smiles melt my heart! We took you to Dallas again this month, this time for Emily's wedding. Papa bought you several new outfits at a little children't boutique in downtown McKinnney. My favorite is the little orange romper that has "WILD" on the front. You went with us to Top Golf for the rehearsal dinner, and sat with daddy during the wedding while mommy was a bridesmaid. You are such a good baby that we barely noticed you were there! The following week, Reid had a baseball tournament so you went with mommy, Nana Karen, and Papa Kelbo to Uncle Kass's graduation at OU. It was fun pushing you around campus, but getting your stroller up the ramp and into the crowded seats at the stadium was a bit of a challenge! You didn't like the loud fireworks, and I think that was the first time that you really cried…like a real cry!
You're still not sleeping through the night…which is not expected since your brother and sister never slept through the night (they still don't!). You're actually waking up more this past month because you have started sleeping next to me in my bed the entire night instead of on the hoppy lounger in the co-sleeper. You're starting to get in the habit of nursing all night long and using me as a pacifier. LilliAnn usually ends up in mommy and daddy's bed too, so that makes four of us in the bed! You love riding in the car and usually go to sleep whenever we start driving. You're still nursing on demand and usually eat about every 2-3 hours. You always nurse more frequently in the evenings, and have to have your WubbaNub or nurse to go to sleep. Nana had a hard time last week trying to give you a bottle, but you took an entire 5 ounce bottle from daddy this week like a pro! He is really good at holding you up a little and holding the bottle more horizontal during the feeding so you don't get too much milk at once. I've only taken you to the chiropractor a couple of times this month, as your reflux is soooooo much better! You're still spitting up a lot more than the other two kids did, but it is getting less frequent as you get older.
Daddy says that you're mommy's boy. You've started following me with your eyes and you get really excited when you think you're going to nurse. Daddy has a hard time soothing you during your fussy time at night (which has gotten quite a bit better this past month), but you always stop crying when mommy holds and talks to you.

Brother and sister say… they love calling you "Rushy," "Rushy boy," or "little munchkin butt" (as LilliAnn likes to call you). LilliAnn absolutely LOVES holding you, talking to you, and singing to you. She tells you that you are our handsome boy and the BEST BABY EVER! She especially likes to hold you if someone else asks to hold you (she gets a little jealous of other people holding her baby). Reid always wants you to lay next to him in his bed or in the living room on his pallet. He loves to softly rub your head and tells you, "You're my buddy," and "Bubba's here."
